chemicals can be useful tools.

Repellents

For deer and rabbits:

Look for repellents that have the following active ingredients such:

Putrescent Egg Solids

  • Deer Away®
  • Big Game Repellent®

Ammonium Soaps Of Fatty Acids

  • Hinder®

Capsaicin

  • Miller’s Hot Sauce®

For Canada geese:
Active Ingredients:

  • Methyl anthranilate
    • Rejexit®
    • Goose chase®

For blackbirds and pigeons:
Active Ingredient:

  • Polybutenes
    • Tanglefoot®
    • Jteaton 4 The Birds®
    • Bird B Gone®

Toxicants

For moles:
Active Ingredients:

  • Chlorophacinone
    Bromethalin
    Warfarin
    • Kaput Mole gel bait®
    • Talpirid®
    • RCO Mole patrolv

For groundhogs:

  • The Giant Destroyer®
  • Gas Cartridge-controlling burrowing rodents ®

For voles:

Weather resistant rodenticide-See Below

  • ZP Rodent Oat Bait®

For rodents (rats/mice):
(Use bait stations to exclude non target animals from these baits)

Anticoagulant rodenticides: (slow acting: rodent's death occurs within 3-5 days after ingestion of a lethal amount of bait)
